This base is designed to mount a scope on the rifle so that you can maintain a zero as close to optical center as possible with 20 moa taper machined into the base this lets the scope maintain center on the elevation and wind adjustments.

For long range shooting the scope can manage a range up to 600 yards and after that it will be close to the maximum adjustment on elevation. The base also has a integrated iron sight mount so you can remove the scope and use your iron sights.
